Virginia Beach Theological Seminary offers a number of opportunities for continuing learning for alumni and other friends of the seminary.
Most chapel messages are available online within a day after they are delivered. Chapel is held weekly during the fall and spring semesters. Click here for the 2024-2025 schedule. (Click here for messages from the 2024-2025 chapel series in Ephesians.)
The monthly Exposition newsletter not only provides frequent updates about events and programs at VBTS, but each edition includes a 600+ word essay by VBTS faculty and other ministry leaders on a passage of Scripture or theological topic. Click here for a sample edition and here to subscribe.
Dr. Brent Belford, is a faculty associate at the seminary and the senior pastor at Colonial Baptist Church. His text-based, expository sermons are available for streaming and download.
Dr. Roger DePriest, VBTS faculty associate in Biblical counseling, is the director of Grace Biblical Counseling. The training center of this ministry offers both online and in person training in Biblical counseling with a focus on training for ACBC certification. Note: There is a cost associated with these training opportunities.
VBTS usually hosts two pastors' conferences for ministry leaders every academic year (once in the fall and once in the spring). Alumni can register for the upcoming conference or listen to previous sessions before registration opens. Past conference messages are available in the sermons database.
Our president, Dr. Daniel Davey is the editor of Regular Baptist Press' New Testament Exposition Commentary series. He is the author of the Romans installment in the series, which can be pre-ordered here.
For alumni who would like to pursue an academic, post-graduate degree in Old Testament, New Testament, or Theology in order to pursue advanced theological education; the VBTS MDiv satisfies the prerequisites for the ThM. Click here for more details.
